Agni
The Digestive Fire – The Root of Life
In Ayurveda, Agni is the biological and metaphysical fire that transforms everything we take in – food, experiences, impressions – into energy, nourishment and knowledge.
What is Agni?
Agni is the digestive and metabolic fire responsible for transformation. It governs how we digest food, absorb nutrients, process thoughts and experience life. Without Agni, there is no life.
When Agni is strong, the body is healthy, the mind is clear and the spirit is strong.
