Understanding the Three Doshas
The three doshas are biological energies or functional principles that animate every aspect of our being. They are formed by the combination of the five elements (Pancha Mahabhuta) in different proportions.
When the doshas are in balance, the body is healthy, the mind is clear and the spirit is joyful.

Doshas are the three biological energies – Vata, Pitta and Kapha – that govern all physical and mental processes.
Yes, this is called a Tridoshic constitution, though most people have one or two doshas that are more dominant.
Your Prakriti (natural constitution) stays fixed, but your Vikriti (current state) can shift with diet, season, age and lifestyle.
Through diet, daily routine (Dinacharya), seasonal routine (Ritucharya), and lifestyle choices suited to your constitution.
An Ayurvedic consultation assesses your physical, mental and emotional traits to determine your Prakriti.
Dosha influences personality tendencies, but it is a broader physiological and psychological framework, not personality alone.
Poor diet, stress, irregular routine, unsuitable seasonal habits and suppressed emotions commonly aggravate doshas.
This varies by individual, but consistent daily routine tends to help stabilise all three doshas over time.
Balance in the doshas leads to balance in life.
Health is the natural state when the doshas are in harmony.
